Paul Tanner Shaffer, DPM, AACFAS

P. Tanner Shaffer, DPM, AACFAS is a residency trained foot and ankle surgeon. He completed his undergraduate education at American University in Washington DC and podiatric medical school at The Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. He has recently completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery with Loyola University Health System and Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois with credentialing in rearfoot reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Shaffer holds podiatric licenses in Oregon, Washington, and Illinois. He is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Shaffer is a former Division 1 collegiate wrestler who experienced many injuries and is passionate about sports medicine and trauma as it relates to the foot and ankle. His clinical interests involve all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including but not limited to acute and chronic ankle sprains, arthroscopy, trauma and fractures of the foot and ankle, arthritis of the foot and ankle, total ankle replacements, minimally invasive bunion correction, and diabetic limb salvage and reconstruction.
